what are the requirements to skydive?



age limit

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID to skydive with Skydive Shenandoah, without exception.



weight limit

Limit for men is 220 lbs, women is 200 lbs. Flexible depending on height/weight ratio. Additional fees apply over weight limit.



overall health

In order to skydive with Skydive Shenandoah, you must be in in general good health.

How it Works

Welcome to the wonderful and exhilarating world of skydiving! We are excited for you to join us for this once in a life time experience or discover your new hobby!

Here is a short outline to help you prepare for what to expect on your tandem skydive:

Upon arrival, check in to finalize paperwork
Take a short class that will detail important aspects of your jump
Be paired with one of our USPA rated Tandem Instructors to gear up and review the jump before boarding the aircraft
Enjoy spectacular views of Blue Ridge Mountains, historic battle grounds, the Shenandoah Valley, and all the beauty Virginia has to offer on the plane ride up
Exit the plane for the thrilling skydiving freefall experience!
The instructor deploys the parachute for a scenic 5-7 minute canopy ride back to the landing zone

Skydiving is a sport and can be experienced many times from learning and earning your basic license to become a proficient skydiver all the way to becoming an instructor or competitive skydiver!

Such a great group of professionals. I brought my grandma here for a tandem jump for her birthday and beat cancer present. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. They did a great job staying in contact with us as well in regards to weather and safety checks.
